Kistler Announces Progress on North American Technical Center

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, May 30, 2011

Kistler, a supplier of precision sensors, systems, and instrumentation for engine, chassis, and vehicle development as well as vehicle component manufacturing systems, today announced that Phase 1 construction of its new North American Technical Center is nearing completion, with the project remaining on track for an industry-wide September opening.

With an official groundbreaking in November 2010 and construction beginning in March, completion of the 20,000-square foot Technical Center will offer Detroit-area customers the benefits of fully dedicated on-site technical product sales, service, and applications engineering expertise as well as A2LA accredited calibration services for automotive testing, crash test, vehicle dynamics, and test laboratory requirements. In addition to Kistler sensors and instrumentation, the new facility will support the KT North America portfolio of on-board, off-board, and in-dummy data acquisition systems and software for crash test and the company’s Corrsys-Datron vehicle dynamics testing technologies.
