SANTA CLARA, CA, August 23, 2011
Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A) today announced it has teamed with Lockheed Martin to provide calibration service for test and measurement equipment in the United States. The teaming arrangement means that Agilent and Lockheed Martin have the capability to come to a customer’s doorstep for on-site services to cover test and measurement equipment ranging from torque wrenches to spectrum analyzers. Typically, most users can get their instruments back from calibration in less than a day. While on-site, Agilent and Lockheed Martin can calibrate most instruments from nearly all manufacturers.
“We are excited to expand the range of calibration disciplines that we can jointly offer to customers,” said Steve Aleshire, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Americas Service Operation. “But what we and our customers really appreciate is how closely Lockheed Martin’s calibration philosophy and quality align with Agilent.”
Lockheed Martin Metrology Services support the production of commercial and defense-oriented products that must function with the highest degree of accuracy.
