25/50/100GE analysis platform

The SierraNet T328 protocol analysis system offers a state-of-the art platform for the fast emerging 25G, 50G, and 100G Ethernet standard and the new 32G/128G Fibre Channel interconnections. The SierraNet family provides a comprehensive set of analysis tools. Utilizing the vendor’s T.A.P.3 probing technology, SierraNet T328 is a completely transparent acquisition solution for all Ethernet and Fibre Channel SAN/NAS environments, ensuring the traffic captured is the traffic transiting the bus under observation.

The SierraNet T328 is operated with the Net Protocol Suite, featuring the SierraNet’s nanosecond trigger granularity. The Net Protocol Suite software, which includes the industry’s only event timer and counter functions, provides an advanced and wide-spread tool set for creating complex and detailed capture solutions. Software product families

Release 2016a (R2016a) of the MATLAB and Simulink product families includes the MATLAB Live Editor, which offers the capability to write, run, and modify code in a single interactive environment to accelerate exploratory analysis, and App Designer, an environment that simplifies the process of building MATLAB apps. R2016a also has a number of new features in Simulink to help speed model development and simulation as well as updates and bug fixes to all the vendor’s other products.

The Live Editor offers a new way to create, edit, and run MATLAB code. Results and graphics are displayed together with the code that produced them in a single interactive environment, speeding exploratory programming and analysis. Now, scientists and engineers can add formatted text, mathematical equations, images, and hyperlinks to create an interactive narrative that can be shared with others. MathWorks

High-speed PCB option

The Snap-In-Modular (SIM) VTAC right-angle insert, capable of speeds greater than 10 Gb/s, is suitable for a variety of applications that require a high-speed PCB solution. The SIM VTAC right-angle inserts are available individually or as full-size or small PCB adapters. The small PCB adapter solution comes with a retention insert to provide added rigidity and ensure proper connections between the right angle insert and the double-ended SIM VTAC insert. It is compact and modular, taking up a fraction of the space of a full-size PCB adapter.

The SIM technology is compatible with a variety of off-the-shelf interfaces, including USB 3.0, RJ45, Mini SAS, and HDMI. The added compatibility with popular interfaces is convenient for the customer and shortens lead time. All SIM inserts are intermixable and compatible with the vendor’s 90 Series SIM modules and i2 MX connectors. Virginia Panel

NSV lab platform

A new lab solution for network solution vendors (NSV) combines the LTB-8 rack-mount platform, the FTBx-88200NGE Power Blazer 100G Multiservice Test Module, and the MultiLink web-based multi-user interface. LTB-8 is a highly scalable, highly compact platform offering the 100G port density necessary to maximize shelf space while minimizing costs. The eight-slot configuration facilitates simultaneous testing of eight 100G modules, supporting multiple interface test combinations.

A new member of the Power Blazer family, the FTBx-88200NGE, offers integrated CFP4 and QSFP+/QSFP28 interfaces in alignment with the next-generation 100G network deployment along with an SFP+ port. The FTBx-88200NGE Power Blazer module provides a full suite of advanced test functionalities to speed product development and verification, including multistage ODU multiplexing, multichannel OTN, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities. Smart camera

The Iris GTR smart camera is smaller, faster, and more cost-effective than its predecessor, the Iris GT, and designed for systems integrators, machine builders, and OEMs of factory-automation solutions. The Iris GTR measures 75 mm x 75 mm x 54 mm and uses On Semiconductor’s PYTHON CMOS image sensors with high readout rates and an Intel Celeron dual-core embedded processor that allow it to inspect faster moving lines or perform more inspections in an allotted time.

The IP67-rated housing and M12 connectors make Iris GTR dust-proof, immersion-resistant, rugged, and suitable for use in dirty industrial environments. It comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 or Linux. Matrox Imaging

X-Y linear-motor scanning stage

The L-731 compact metrology X-Y stage employs magnetic linear direct drive to ensure high velocity and acceleration, making it suitable for inspection and microscopy. With a travel range of 205 mm in both X and Y and velocity to 100 mm/s, the L-731 delivers high accuracy and smooth motion. Precision crossed roller bearings with anticreep cage assist guarantee superior guiding accuracy (1.5 µm straightness for loads up to 20 kg).

An integrated optical reference encoder and limit switch provide further positioning control and accuracy for this compact stage with 5-nm resolution. DC servo motor versions are available on request. Applications of the L-731 include semiconductors, photonics, bio- and nanotechnology, metrology, microscopy, and micromanipulation. Optical transport tester

Expanded capabilities for the Network Master Flex MT1100A optical transport tester address the challenges associated with emerging technologies being integrated into core and metro networks as well as in data centers. With the new options, the MT1100A is a field-portable multi-100G transport tester that can support native client payloads, including Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SONET/SDH, and CPRI, with various ODU encapsulations, serving as a comprehensive tool to verify network performance during installation and maintenance.

Because it identifies problems at all levels in the OTN signal, the MT1100A can solve OTN issues efficiently, reduce system downtime, and lower operating expenses for network operators. It is a single-instrument solution to test a variety of current client signals over the data plane and has a flexible platform that can be easily updated as technologies advance. Anritsu

Semiconductor test software

The TestStand Semiconductor Module provides test system engineers with the software tools to develop, deploy, and maintain optimized semiconductor test systems. With the TestStand Semiconductor Module, engineers now can program lab characterization systems using the same paradigm they deploy on the factory floor with the Semiconductor Test System (STS), reducing the time required to correlate measurements.

Built on TestStand industry-standard test management software, the TestStand Semiconductor Module also
empowers customers to build their own rack-and-stack systems for semiconductor production test using the capability of PXI and TestStand outside of the conventional “test head” architecture of the STS. National Instruments
