Arrow touts back-to-school and empty-nester offer

Sept. 2, 2016

It’s back-to-school time. Arrow Electronics notes that college is expensive, but parts don’t have to be. The distributor is offering students and professors a 20% discount for a limited time (a few companies’ product lines are excluded). You just need to log in with your school .edu email address.

You get free domestic ground shipping, too. While you are waiting for your order to arrive, you can study Arrow’s “Engineering 101” videos, on topics including bipolar junction transistors, LEDs, soldering, and the venerable 555 timer.

And perhaps you are not a student but a parent whose children are all off at college. In that case you might be interested in Arrow’s articles on tools for the empty nester’s home electronics lab. If you are an alum and have maintained a .edu email address, you are eligible for the discount as well.
