Ehab Tarmoom is a technical staff applications engineer of Microchip’s silicon-carbide business unit. As a subject matter expert on silicon-carbide (SiC) technology, he designs and develops innovative SiC solutions across the company’s power portfolio. He has over 20 years of experience in automotive electronics, with a focus on the electrification of products such as onboard chargers, inverters, electric-vehicle supply equipment, and battery disconnect units.
Ehab received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering, as well as a second master’s degree in applied and computational mathematics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Ehab is also an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy.
