Targeting the consumer video marketplace, the company has announced two next-generation connectors. The first incorporates High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) technology over eSATA, combining two current industry standards in a compact package. Each of the discrete ports meets industry specifications for HDMI (version 1.3) and eSATA. The other is a stacked connector incorporating HDMI technology with many of the same design features and tooling of the eSATA connector. This stacked connector addresses the needs of multiple-port HDMI devices. For more information, call TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
