For installing fluorescent luminaires with less labor and fewer parts, the 873-902 LUMI-NUTS luminaire disconnect combines a 20A/600V line-side rating and daisy chaining capabilities at two conductors per pole. It is described as the only connector that can loop power from one disconnect to the next for quick wiring of multiple ballasts or multiple fluorescent fixtures, eliminating additional splices, time, and labor. The component’s housing consists of flame retardant (UL94V-0) polyamide 6.6 and provides touch-safe operation either mated or unmated. Via an integral locking latch, keying on mating halves prevents mis-mating. Color-coding and on-unit inkjet markings provide pole identification and PUSH WIRE technology enables maintenance-free, vibration- and temperature-cycling resistant terminations. Additionally, the 873-902 LUMI-NUTS fit through a 0.5” knockout. For more details, call WAGO CORP., Germantown, WI. (800) 346-7245.
