A surface-mount, A-type USB plug targets dongles and adapters, flash memory devices, USB hard drives, and hardware/software keys. The insulator material for this four-pin plug is black or white PA6T high temperature thermoplastic. It has through hole shield tabs, and its contacts are made of phosphor bronze with gold flash over nickel as standard and 30 milli-inches of gold over nickel for superior performance. The USB plug is available with either 0.9 mm or 1.35 mm plastic posts. Other characteristics include: a rated voltage of 30 VacRMS, a contact current rating of 1A max., a contact resistance of 30 m_ max., and an insulation resistance of 1 G_ minimum.
