To eliminate failures due to misalignment, the 6288 Series secure lock ZIF connectors employ a shaped-cable construction that guarantees correct alignment. A one-touch flip lock provides audible and tactile feedback that facilitates ease-of-assembly, eliminates production process failures, and prevents accidental removal of the cable in the field. Moldings in the connector accept FFC/FPC cable and lock shapes in to prevent accidental removal of the cable and incorrect insertions. The connectors are available with six to 60 positions on a standard 0.5-mm pitch and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. Additionally, the standard 0.5-mm pitch contacts feature a gold flash finish. Pricing typically starts at $0.40 each in reels of 2,000 with a lead time of 10 weeks. AVX CORP. Myrtle Beach, SC.
