Sporting a compact footprint, wide viewing angle, and an extended operating life, the ASMT-MT00 embarks as the company’s first 3W Moonstone red, green, and blue LED for use in a range of solid-state architectural and commercial lighting applications. The component delivers 108 lumens and is independently controllable to enable color-changing and mixing capabilities. It employs three separate power LED chips and features a 120-degree viewing angle. Each chip accommodates a drive current of 350 mA and the entire package has the ability to pre-mix the red, green and blue colors in the reflector cavity to produce a uniform white output. This design feature reportedly eliminates the need for an additional light-mixing device or light guide. Price for the ASMT-MT00 LEDs is $7.90 each/1,000. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, San Jose, CA.
