IR LED Doubles Output

Nov. 22, 2010
The Stack Power TOPLED SFH4250S emits almost double the infrared light of the SFH4250 standard component.

The Stack Power TOPLED SFH4250S emits almost double the infrared light of the SFH4250 standard component. Employing highly efficient stack technology for thin-film chips, it achieves a typical radiant intensity of 22 mW/sr and a total radiant flux of 70 mW in continuous operation with a 70-mA driving current. Essentially, the component enables the design of very compact lighting units. Delivering a wavelength of 850 nm, the LED does not interfere with a TV’s remote control, which works at about 950 nm.
