LED Driver Backlights LCD TVs

Adjustable to match specific drive voltages, the R2A50106FT LED driver for backlights in LCD TVs enables a 20% reduction in system power consumption. It employs voltage step-up circuit technology in an integrated dc/dc converter control circuit as well as eight constant-current driver channels capable of driving high-luminosity LEDs. Other features include on-chip protection functions including the ability to detect open or shorted LEDs row by row, and when a fault occurs, to stop operation of the affected row only.
