Optical Mouse Sensor Packs Several Features In Tiny Package

Optimized for LED-based corded mouse applications, the ADNS-5050 optical mouse comes in what is said to be one of the industry’s smallest packages with several built-in features and enhanced tracking performance. Precision optical alignment is not required, making it easy to install and suitable for high volume assembly. Additionally, the sensor is a drop-in replacement for the company's ADNS-5020-EN mouse sensor. The ADNS-5050 along with the ADNS-5100/5100-001 lens, ADNS-5200 clip, and HLMP-ED80 LED light source form a complete tracking system with no moving parts. The ADNS-5050 is capable of motion detection at 30 ips and acceleration up to 8g. It also includes an on-chip oscillator and LED driver to minimize external components and an adjustable frame rate.
