Claiming to reduce the size and power consumption of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi products, the PowerTrimPaK laser-trimmable analog IP blocks also promise to shrink design cycles, lower the bill-of-material, and increase reliability. Users have a wide variety of IP blocks to choose from. These include: battery-charge monitoring; battery charger with laser tunable RSENS; charge-pump converters for flash memory, LED, or LCD supplies; dc/dc step-up and step-down converters; inverted charge pump; LDO regulator; power-management control; reverse-battery protection; temperature sensor; and voltage references.
