Rectifiers Handle Forward Currents From 4A to 15A

Sept. 26, 2011
Hosting the industry's first 600V rectifiers with a greater than 10A forward current, Vishay’s latest 200V and 600V FRED Pt hyperfast and ultrafast rectifiers in TO-252AA (D-PAK) power plastic SMD packages specify forward currents from 4A to 15A.

The 200V devices are available with 4A, 8A, and 10A forward currents while the 600V devices provide 5A, 6A, 8A, 12A, and 15A. The 4A to 6A devices are optimized for use as snubber diodes in lighting applications (either ballast or HID. The 8A to 15A rectifiers are suitable for PFC boost and output diodes in telecom and desktop power supplies. Pricing for delivery starts at $0.40 each in small volumes.
