Relay Actuator/Digital Input Card Boasts 2500-V DC Isolation

July 30, 2007
Eight optically isolated inputs with protection to 2500 V dc allow the PCI-1763UP relay actuator and digital input card to collect digital data in a noisy environment.

Eight optically isolated inputs with protection to 2500 V dc allow the PCI-1763UP relay actuator and digital input card to collect digital data in a noisy environment. The card, from the eAutomation Group of Advantech, also holds eight relay actuators that serve as on-off control devices or small power switches. The low-profile PCI form factor and universal PCI converter, which is V2.2-compliant, allows designers to meet requirements for size and power restrictions.

Other features include LED indicators to show which relays are active, eight form-C-type relay output channels, output status read-back, and retained relay output values for hot system reset. The card is protected against electrostatic discharge to 2000 V dc and has 70-V dc overvoltage protection. Input range is a wide 10 to 50 V dc. Other capabilities include interrupt handling and a BoardID switch.

Prices start at $245. Contact the company for availability information. For more details, go to www.eautomationpro.com.
