A recent smart grid symposium hosted by GE at its Global Research Center focused on a flurry of new smart grid projects — and the breakthrough in energy savings that can be achieved with the GE’s “Net Zero Energy Home” by using smart technologies in tandem. A trio of short videos provide a smart grid technology tour covering what goes on at the utility and how smart appliances will take queues from the utility in a demand response mode to crank down their own energy use.
