u-blox introduces GPS module

Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox AG has introduced the TIM-LL, a 16-channel GPS receiver with integrated Flash EPROM for storage of user configuration settings, and a low-noise amplifier for use with passive and active antennas.

The new unit is said to combine performance--a 34 second cold-start time-to-first-fix--with low (162 mW) power consumption. It’s ISO 9001 and ISO/TS16949 certified, and provides WAAS/EGNOS (Wide Area Augmentation System/European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) support.
