Sony Ericsson launches CDMA telematics module

Sony Ericsson has introduced a CDMA telematics module, CM52, for driver navigation, security and infotainment applications, among others.

Sony Ericsson has introduced a CDMA telematics module, CM52, for driver navigation, security and infotainment applications, among others. Its features are said to include fully implemented Mobile IP and support for AMPS 800, CDMA 800/1900, and 3W AMPS operation modes.

"Thanks to the evolution of wireless networks, automotive manufacturers and industrial developers are aggressively building robust telematics applications to bring tracking, safety and monitoring services across all of their various product lines,” said Anders Franzen, corporate vice president and head of Sony Ericsson Machine to Machine Communications.
