The single-chip amplitude shift keyed/on-off-keyed ICs, intended to shorten time to market, come in fixed data rates at standard frequencies (1 KBPS Manchester at 315 MHz or 433 MHz). They operate within a 300-foot radius at data rates below 10 Kbps. Receivers in the series are "antenna-in, data-out" devices and the transmitter is an equivalent "data-in, antenna-out" part. Neither the transmitter nor the receivers require hand tweaking with trimmer capacitors, as tuning is performed automatically, according to Micrel.
