Chinese Automakers Use Nvidia Solution

Two of the leading automotive manufacturers in China — Geely International and Great Wall Motor Company — have employed NVIDIA's Quadro FX professional solutions for product design and visualization. "As we design a car, we can visualize it on the computer and do iterations before achieving the final look, feel, and functionality," Zhang Chunguang, head of the information center at Geely Auto Design and Research Institute, said in a statement. China's auto industry has shifted away from being "imitators" and is moving towards design and development, according to Wang Zhonghao, head of the information technology department at Great Wall Motor's Research Institute. Nvidia's solutions will address the Chinese auto industry's growing needs as it goes global, according to Jeff Brown, general manager of professional solutions for NVIDIA.
