Power-Semi Tester Claims To Be Smallest

Aug. 1, 2000

At just 7.6'' x 14'' x 7'', the new LEM semiconductor tester is said to be the smallest portable unit in the industry. A tool for measuring static parameters of power semiconductors, it performs tests on devices that include IGBTs, diodes, thyristors and other types of components.
Measurement features include breakdown voltage, leakage current, and forward voltage drop. Reportedly easy to use, the instrument is suitable for measurement and failure analysis of semiconductors used in public transportation, industrial drives, heavy industry rectifiers and inverters, UPSs and automotive.
