SMT Connectors Take To The Road

Aug. 1, 1999

Designed for use with commercially available pick-and-place equipment, these standard SMT automotive pin headers with firm's AutoPak packaging format for automated assembly of odd-form components integrate the EIA-compliant Mylar carrier strips. The AutoPak design is said to provide significant savings by reducing component packaging costs and simplifying assembly processes. SMT pin headers come on 3-mm centers in the AutoPak format, and firm's machine-placeable SMT and through-hole pin headers mate precisely with existing standard connectors used in the automotive industry.
