Mixer Diode Fits Flip Chip Designs

Nov. 1, 1999

A GaAs flip chip mixer diode designed as a series pair configuration for balanced and double balanced mixers, DMK8001 is a single chip with a fully matched series pair well-suited for flip chip mounting or wire bonding. The series pair configuration reduces parts counts to minimized tuning and testing costs. Intended for millimeter-wave operating frequencies for broad band and narrow band uses, the DMK8001 can be used in applications such as LMDS, point-to-point, automotive collision awareness, VSAT, PRD, millimeter-wave frequency conversion products, and industrial sensors. Characteristics include low capacitance, low resistance, and low mixer conversion loss.
