Fujitsu delivers 40GB automotive-class hard disk drive

Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (www.fujitsu.com) has introduced the MHW2040AC Parallel ATA (PATA) mobile hard disk drive (HDD) with a storage capacity of 40GB, a -30 to 85° C or -20 to 80° C temperature range, and shock and vibration resilience (operating shock: 300G 2ms).

Fujitsu Computer Products of America has introduced the MHW2040AC parallel ATA (PATA) mobile hard disk drive (HDD) with a storage capacity of 40 GB, a -30 to 85 °C or -20 to 80 °C temperature range, and shock and vibration resilience (operating shock: 300 G 2 ms). The drive has an 8 MB buffer and features 4200 rpm rotational speed, 1.5 ms typical track-to-track seek time, and 0.7 W typical idle power consumption.
