SVOX AG said that Texas Instruments is using SVOX’s text-to-speech (TTS) technology in Texas Instruments' DaVinci technology processors. SVOX's TTS converts text into speech through text analysis and voice synthesis for navigation systems.

According to SVOX, updating pre-recorded messages in navigation systems with new recordings, different languages, software updates and new routes can be timely and expensive, but SVOX and DaVinci technology can add advanced speech output capabilities to navigation systems that can automatically inform drivers of potential delays and traffic jams. The technology also permits text-to-speech conversion of incoming e-mail and text messages
