Softing AG has added a USB hardware interface to its EDIC product family.

Softing AG has added a USB hardware interface to its EDIC product family. CAN, LIN and K-line bus support, the new EDICusb fits well in heterogeneous vehicle networks, according to the company.

Protocols such as Diagnostics on CAN, UDS and KWP 2000 are processed directly in the interface for fast response times and reliable real-time behavior, Extensive buffer mechanisms enable parallel operation of several communication channels, reducing PC overhead. The interface enables notebooks and desktops to be connected to vehicle buses in either stationary or mobile operation.
