Product manager Scott Wright said Toshiba has shipped more than eight million automotive-grade HDDs for OEM and aftermarket solutions since 2001. According to Techno Systems Research (TSR) Co., Ltd., Toshiba holds an 84% market share in the automotive-class HDD segment. Samples of Toshiba's new automotive-grade HDDs will be available later this year.
