Mobileye vision system supports Delphi safety application

Mobileye N.V. (www.mobileye.com) said that Delphi (www.delphi.com) is using Mobileye’s EyeQ Vision system-on-a-chip in Delphi’s Advanced Collision Mitigation Systems.

Mobileye N.V. ) said that Delphi is using Mobileye’s EyeQ Vision system-on-a-chip in Delphi’s advanced collision mitigation systems. The Mobileye technology includes a lane departure warning application and vehicle detection technology for radar/vision fusion.

The Delphi system is expected to be used in the near-term on a European automotive platform. The system includes Delphi's forewarn smart cruise control with stop and go, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. It can also incorporate infrared active night vision.

Mobileye chairman and chief scientist Amnon Shashua said the EyeQ chip and application software suite includes lane, vehicle and pedestrian detection and intelligent headlight control.
