Pedersen named SmarTire president and CEO

Tire monitoring systems supplier SmarTire Systems Inc. has named Leif E. Pedersen president and CEO to replace Al Kozak, who resigned to pursue other interests. Pedersen was managing director of Consilium GmbH, a manufacturer of radar, monitoring and detection systems, and other products for the maritime industry. Earlier, he was program director for SensoNor ASA, now part of Infineon.
