Toyota and DENSO transition to MathWorks R2006B

    Sept. 13, 2007
The MathWorks (www.mathworks.com) said Toyota (www.toyota.com) and its electronics supplier DENSO (www.denso.co.jp) have transitioned from R12.1, in use since 2001, to The MathWorks R2006b release.

The MathWorks said Toyota and its electronics supplier DENSO have transitioned from R12.1, in use since 2001, to The MathWorks R2006b release. Adopting the new version enables Toyota and DENSO to apply model-based design in current and future production vehicle programs and to use automatically generated production C code for complex, real-time embedded systems.

Kazuhiko Hayashi, general manager of Toyota’s Electronics Engineering Division, said Toyota expects to achieve significant productivity improvements from R2006b features such as Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder for mass production software. DENSO developed modeling guidelines, user models, and training materials to prepare Toyota and DENSO engineers to move production work from R12.1 to R2006b.
