VaST and NEC offer V850-based virtual models

VaST Systems (www.vastsystems.com) and NEC Electronics America (www.am.necel.com/) are offering virtual models of NEC Electronics’ 32-bit V85-based microcontroller units.

VaST Systems and NEC Electronics America are offering virtual models of NEC Electronics’ 32-bit V85-based microcontroller units.

The models, which are used for architecture design and software development, include V850ES/Fx MCUs for automotive body applications and V850ES/Rx3 MCUs for safety control. The V850ES/Fx3 lineup is suitable for body controllers, seat and door modules, HVAC systems, and anti-theft mechanisms, while the V850ES/Rx3 MCUs are suited for intelligent airbag systems.

Jim Trent, NEC Electronics America associate vice president and general manager, automotive strategic business unit, said the models are for customers focused on early validation.
