The LTC2246H from Linear Technology is a 14-bit, 25 Msps analog-to-digital converter suited for automotive collision avoidance radar systems, according to the company. Guaranteed for operation across the -40 °C to 125 °C temperature range, the LTC2246H consumes 75 mW and offers 74.5 dB signal to noise ratio (SNR) and 90 dBc spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) baseband performance. It’s packaged in a 5 mm x 5 mm TQFP with integrated bypass capacitors, and is said to require a small number of external components. The part is also available in a leaded package that allows for easier inspection of solder joints in manufacturing.

For lower resolution requirements, Linear Technology offes the pin-compatible 12-bit 25 Msps LTC2226H. Prices for the H-grade (-40 °C to 125 °C) LTC2226H and LTC2246H are $10.80 and $18.00, respectively, in 1000 piece quantities.
