Magna Electronics partners with IBM for vehicle-based computing

Magna Electronics (www.magna.com) has signed a five-year collaborative agreement with IBM Technology Collaboration Solutions (www.ibm.com/technology/) covering systems design, software development and engineering to support Magna’s vehicle-based computing systems.

Magna Electronics has signed a five-year collaborative agreement with IBM Technology Collaboration Solutions covering systems design, software development and engineering to support Magna’s vehicle-based computing systems.

"Advanced vehicle electronics and software have become crucial to automakers and their ability to differentiate their products in an increasingly competitive marketplace," said Adalio Sanchez, general manager, IBM Technology Collaboration Solutions. The firms intend to pair IBM's software expertise with Magna's automotive expertise to develop embedded systems.
