Chinese research firm CCID Consulting (www.ccidconsulting.com) estimates that in 2007 China's automotive semiconductor device market reached ¥115.74 billion ($15.87 billion), for a growth rate of 33.4% compared with automobile market growth in excess of 20%.

Chinese research firm CCID Consulting estimates that in 2007 China's automotive semiconductor device market reached ¥115.74 billion ($15.87 billion), for a growth rate of 33.4% compared with automobile market growth in excess of 20%. CCID said power control systems upgraded steadily, chassis control systems were diversified, car-related lifestyle electronics products became increasingly popular, and preinstalled onboard GPS systems increased steadily.
