Chartered's 200 mm and 300 mm fabs achieve ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, which ranks among the largest semiconductor foundries, has achieved the ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality management system standard certification for all of its 200 mm and 300 mm fabrication facilities--Fab 2, Fab 3, Silicon Manufacturing Partners (SMP or Fab 5), Chartered Silicon Partners (CSP or Fab 6) and Fab 7.

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, which ranks among the largest semiconductor foundries, has achieved the ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality management system standard certification for all of its 200 mm and 300 mm fabrication facilities--Fab 2, Fab 3, Silicon Manufacturing Partners (SMP or Fab 5), Chartered Silicon Partners (CSP or Fab 6) and Fab 7.

ISO/TS 16949:2002 is currently the industry's most stringent quality management system standard. It defines the quality system elements required for automotive suppliers based on ISO 9001:2000, AVSQ (Italy), EAQF (France), QS-9000 (US) and VDA6.1 (Germany) automotive standards.
