Mitsubishi names new design and engineering team

Mitsubishi Motors R & D of America (www.mitsubishi-motors.com) has named Masato Suwaki, senior vice president for company strategy for Mitsubishi Motors North America, as temporary head of North America design activities for Mitsubishi Motors with responsibility for overall strategic planning for future Mitsubishi vehicles manufactured in North America.

Mitsubishi Motors R & D of America has named Masato Suwaki senior vice president for company strategy for Mitsubishi Motors North America. As temporary head of North America design activities for Mitsubishi Motors, he is responsible for overall strategic planning for future Mitsubishi vehicles manufactured in North America. Mitsubishi expects to name a new general manager of design later this year to replace Dan Sims, who resigned to accept a position with Proctor & Gamble.

Mitsubishi promoted Dave O'Connell to chief designer. He previously held administration and management responsibility for MRDA designers.
