Measurement Specialties acquires Intersema Sensoric SA

Measurement Specialties, Inc. (www.meas-spec.com) has acquired Intersema Sensoric SA (www.intersema.com/) for approximately $39.7 million in cash and notes plus an additional $17.3 million if performance thresholds are achieved.

Measurement Specialties Inc. has acquired Intersema Sensoric SA for approximately $39.7 million in cash and notes plus an additional $17.3 million if performance thresholds are achieved. Intersema designs and manufactures sensors for automotive and other applications.

Measurement Specialties chief executive officer Frank Guidone said the acquisition extends Measurement Specialties pressure capabilities with the addition of low pressure, harsh media and ultrasmall packaged configurations. The transaction is expected to add approximately $17 million in sales on an annualized basis.
