Magellan agrees to sell GPS consumer products division to MiTAC

Magellan Navigation (www.magellangps.com) said it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its consumer products division to MiTAC International Corp.

Magellan Navigation said it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its consumer products division to MiTAC International Corp. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in January, were not disclosed.

The Magellan division markets the RoadMate and Maestro series of portable car navigation systems, as well as the Magellan Triton outdoor handheld navigation devices. MiTAC markets Mio and Navman portable navigation devices.
