Renault has selected a new tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) from Johnson Controls for use on the Renault Modus. Renault previously incorporated Johnson’s TPMS in the Vel Satis, Laguna and Scenic, but the system on the Modus features wireless tire pressure recognition that eliminates the need for manual setting or for a wheel-specific receiving module, so the driver does not have to observe any predetermined position when changing the tires. The system only requires a radio transceiver, since each tire sends its own radio signal.

The TPMS comes as standard equipment in the luxury edition and as an option in both other versions.
