Japan plans automotive electronics OS

Japan’s Ministry of Education, Trade and Industry (www.meti.go.jp) reportedly plans to invest ¥1 billion (about $8.7 billion) with JasPar (www.jaspar.jp) in fiscal 2008 for development of an automotive electronics operating system.

Japan’s Ministry of Education, Trade and Industry reportedly plans to invest ¥1 billion (about $8.7 billion) with JasPar in fiscal 2008 for development of an automotive electronics operating system. The plan is to have a prototype completed in fiscal 2009 and to market the operating system within the next five to 10 years.
