Motorola, Inc.’s VC6096 in-vehicle/fixed mount mobile computer targets transportation and logistics providers. It enables the collection of data including mileage, location, and driver performance, as well as vehicle metrics such as hours of service and arrival and departure times. Featuring integrated GPS, the system provides the asset visibility needed to support real-time location-based applications, from directions for drivers to fleet location for dispatchers. The VC6096 provides mobile workers with simultaneous voice and data connections via 3.5G WAN connectivity on the GSM network.
