For the XF model it introduced amid much fanfare at the Frankfurt Auto Show, Jaguar partnered with British loudspeaker manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins. The vehicle contains as many as 14 speakers (driven by 440 W of amplifier power), and beginning early in the design process, Jaguar and Bowers & Wilkins performed extensive computer analysis and prototype testing to determine the ideal layout and speaker locations. The speakers incorporate woven Kevlar driver material, a metal dome tweeter transducer, and Dolby Pro Logic II 7.1-channel surround, among other technologies.
