Sony Ericsson has added the GA64 to its M2M (machine-to-machine) line of quad-band, GSM/GPRS radio devices. Based on the GX64 Family Core, the GA64 is designed to meet regulatory and industrial requirements for automotive, fleet and industrial devices.

Features include USB functionality, onboard Bluetooth and GPS technology, a TCP/IP kernel for increased power, an onboard SIM cardholder, and low-loss RF connectors. The device is also said to be less than half the size of its predecessor.
