QNX partners with Mecel on Bluetooth for Infotainment

Real-time operating systems developer QNX Software (www.qnx.com) is partnering with Delphi Corporation (www.delphi.com) software subsidiary Mecel (www.mecel.se) on a “multiple audio streams and hands-free Bluetooth” infotainment application.

Real-time operating systems developer QNX Software is partnering with Delphi Corporation software subsidiary Mecel on a “multiple audio streams and hands-free Bluetooth” infotainment application. Mecel’s application, based on the Bluetooth advanced audio distribution profile (A2DP), runs on QNX’s Neutrino RTOS and provides audio streaming between in-car audio systems and portable players as well as hands-free calling.
