Softing licenses MediaLB

Softing AG (www.softing.com) has licensed SMSC’s media local bus (MediaLB) technology for use on Softing’s media oriented systems transport (MOST) evaluation platform.

Softing AG has licensed SMSC’s media local bus (MediaLB) technology for use on Softing’s media oriented systems transport (MOST) evaluation platform. The firms said that Softing is the first tools vendor to license MediaLB, which is a serial on-PCB and interchip communication standard for multimedia applications that provides a synchronous connection to MOST networks. Softing provides tools for developing electronic control units, as well as products for diagnostics, and for multimedia applications support.
