These new additions to the UNI-PAC family boasts of improved electrical characteristics and a protective case to reduce core breakage. The UNI-PAC (1-4)B surface-mount inductors have a miniature size and rugged construction suitable for high-power applications. These include notebook computers, PDA applications and battery-powered equipment. Ideal for energy storage applications and designed for high-shock environments, the UP (1-4) B inductors have better roll-off characteristics, lower DCR and a higher ISAT. The devices are available in sizes 1 and 2, and will soon be available in sizes 3 and 4. UNI-PAC products are available in tape-and-reel packaging. Pricing starts at $0.40 each/25,000 for UP1B version.
