Based on foil technology, the HC2LP high-power inductors have a higher reliability factor than traditional magnet wire used for high-frequency circuit designs. The parts operate from dc to 1 MHz with resistance ratings from 0.6 to 4.6 m‡. Rated inductance ranges from 0.47 to 6.0 µH. Operating from -40°C to 85°C, the inductors boast infrared reflow-soldering temperatures up to 260°C for 10 s maximum. The devices' compact footprint targets high-density, high-current applications in next-generation microprocessors, energy-storage applications, dc-dc converters, and computers. They come in tape-and-reel packaging with 130 parts per 13-in. reel and in trays or bulk packaging. In 25,000-unit lots, the HC2LP inductors cost $0.75 each.
