A new benchtop hi-pot electrical safety tester combines both ac and dc high voltage testing up to 5 kV ac and 6.0 kV dc. The Sentinel tester has the flexibility to act as a standalone instrument or part of an overall production system. A large LCD indicates test parameters and test results. A simple operating panel makes the instrument quick and easy to use and promotes error-free testing. The instrument incorporates one-touch automatic testing, selectable ramp and dwell periods for accurate test control and includes an arc detection feature to monitor low energy discharges in equipment under test, providing safe programmable test sequences. Compact and rugged, the Sentinel includes high-quality test probes and has an optional PC interface useful for small- and medium-sized manufacturers who are required to test and prove their products to meet relevant safety standards.
