Poised for supply chain and logistics applications, the XRA00, a UHF RFID memory device, fully complies with the Version 1.0 EPCglobal specification. When connected to its antenna, the chip derives power from RF energy emanating from the RFID reader. The device is capable of operating at distances up to 10m from a reader and is suitable for use in both the 902 MHz to 928 MHz band for US markets and the 866 MHz to 868 MHz band in Europe. Features include a non-volatile, 128-bit memory organized as eight blocks of 16 bits, with the first block storing the 16-bit cyclic redundancy check. Typical programming time is 30 ms. Of the remaining blocks, six store the 96-bit product code and the last block shares duties between eight lock bits that protect memory content and an eight-bit kill code.
